  • I Make Plans & God Laughs

Well isn't that always the case?:bang:

I make plans where everything will be perfect and I will have a great weekend.......
 until I don't sleep all night and make 1 trip to the ER for them to say it's back pain. Only to return 3hrs. later in much more pain and they finally figure out that I have a

    KIDNEY STONE

So besides the fact that I didn't get to spend the day with my favorite 5 yr.old at DL , not going to be able to see the wax museum for the last time and spend time with MC's at DL; I am now grounded to the house with my "pee strainer cone" so I can catch this "stone" to give to the doctor Monday morning!!!! Lets not forget the waves of pain as this "stone" passes

OK GOD SIT UP THERE ON YOUR THRONE AND LAUGH AT ME ) it's not like I have enough health issue? I start enjoying life more and you got to put me back in my place and so me who the BOSS is.:thumbdown

Oh BOAS I SO feel your pain and know what you're going through.

Because I took so many Rolaids prior to my bleeding ulcer, the calcium built up so much that a month after the ulcer stopped I had stones too. I wouldnt wish them on anyone.

I think I drank a gallon of water within a 5 hour period that night to flush the little ******* out of me. Ended up throwing up from the pain it hurt so much in the morning and then after a couple hours the pain stopped. What happened?

The doctor said it either crawled back into the kidney or it was floating in my bladder. I figured the latter because when that little ******* moved from the kidney to my bladder thats when the pain hurt the worst (hence my barfing).

Then that afternoon I went to the bathroom (for the 875th time in less than 24 hours) and BANG out shot the little *******. After that I was just fine.

So, my point here is, drink LOTS of water tonight, even if you cant drink any more water, drink it. Pee all night and with any luck your little ******* will pop out tomorrow. Then for the rest of your life drink lots of water like I do to keep your kidneys flushed. Havent had a problem in 7 years (knock wood).

Big hugs to you. Keep us posted.

awe...I'm sorry...I've never had one, but my best friend did. They had her on morphine in the hospital though. Drink lots and lots of water. My friend hated water, so she only drank soda or tea. She now drinks lots of water.

            :squeeze: ...to you...

I've never had one but I hope all goes well. Sounds like O-Nut has a good plan. I'll be thinking good thoughts for you. And never second guessing blinding back pain.

Ugh, when I had mine, there were TWO in one week. First one kidney...then I felt better, only to have the second kidney get one the end of that same week. Ugh!!

(Translation: I feel for you, and hope you get another opportunity to enjoy your favorite 5yr old at the park, pain free.)

It could be worse. Like immaculate conception, two-days to live or summat.

Anyhow, I'm very sorry about your predicament, and i don't know if anything I can say would offer the right brand of condolence, so :squeeze:

Maybe we'll both sit down and have a few beers
And I can tell you 'bout today
And how I picked you up and everything changed
                        It was pain
                        Sunny days and rain
I knew you'd feel the same things...
