  • Disney stores..

Does anyone still have any Disney stores operating around them? All the ones by me have been closed down. A new one has just opened up only 2 hours away from me.

Yep, we have one at the mall. It's just not the same, now that Disney doesn't own them.

I used to feel good about spending money there. You know, since it went back to the company, and you'd figure that they would do good things with it (like maybe improve the Parks).

Now it's just another corp pushing their wares...

I have one in the local mall too. I have not been in a disney store in at least 2 years. The last time I was there it was all geared to the kids and since I don't have kids, what is the point?

We have one here in the mall too. I remember how excited I was when it opened. Not much of a selection here now...

What have you been smoking? Disney is all about pushing their wares these days. They sold the stores because they were loosing money on them due to mismanagement. The selection in the one near me hasn't changed all that much and the prices are much better than they used to be.
You can think I'm wrong, but that's no reason to quit thinking.

We have 2 in my area, but why bother going when you don't have children? I miss the Disney stores of old....back when they had a good mix of adult/children merchandise, collectibles, art, pins, watches, etc.

Just remember without a well written Disney Villain, there would be no point in the Heroes and the Princesses. Have you hugged a Disney Villain today?

                Re: Disney stores..

They removed all of them from Southern Colorado, leaving only one (that I've found) in Denver. I suppose I could search online for more, but why? Like MandaBella, it's only kid's stuff nowadays and not worth the hour or so drive north.

                Peace,

Yeah, they don't have much to offer anymore, it it mostly just appearal. I used to like the big TV screens they had in them. Also miss the old Warner Bros. stores.

We have them at the malls still. I also have the World of Disney about about 4 blocks away from me.
