  • You know what I just realized...

Its autumn and I have a huge tree in my front yard.

    not looking forward to that!

Anyone else going to have lots of leaves to rake?

My tree is the last one in the neighborhood to lose it's leaves. Sometimes the snow falls before I get a chance to remove them. Normally, I never rake them anyway. I do have a blower, and I blow the leaves off the sidewalk, and into the street, or into the flower beds. They make great mulch. One thing is certain. They never end up in the trash can.

When the snow beats the leaf removal, than the leaves get shoveled along with the snow into my yard, where again, they become good mulch.

I don't rake the grass either. I have a mulching lawn mower.

This year will be my first experience with having to rake leaves and my lazy butt has not even purchased a rake! We have 3 large trees in the back yard and one medium tree in the front. Whats the worst that could happen if I don't rake them up?

Think about it. The majority of trees is this world drop their leaves, and no one is standing there with a rake. They will eventually decompose, and provide nutrients to the soil.
