  • Are you hungry... I mean REALLY hungry?

While doing a little research for cheap eats for our trip to Las Vegas this January, I came upon the following special at the Western Casino & Hotel. Now, this is an old joint near the downtown area...899 E Fremont St... patronized by questionable locals and not recommended after dark. That said:

    Are you ready to eat?
Now serving the 9 pound "Big Daddy Barrick Burger." Served with a bun 12" in diameter, a half head of lettuce, two tomatoes, two onions, four pickles, mayo, mustard and 12 slices of American cheese, the burger big enough to feed a softball team is available for $29.99.

Both the "Big Daddy Barrick Burger" and the "Barrick Burger" are served with a side of fries and Maalox!

I can eat but I imagine if I didn't eat for 3 days I wouldn't be able to finish that burger. LOL

I think I'd need to be sitting on a toilet when trying to eat this thing.

I could probably eat the smaller one. I have an amazing ability to eat large cheeseburgers and not get full.

A reason to go down to Fremont again on our next trip to Vegas!

BTW: follow this link to read about Sonya Thomas, a 5'5" 99 lb. resident of Virginia who is also the #1 ranked female competitive eater in the USA. She finished a "Big Daddy Barrick Burger" like the one pictured above in...

Those burgers are popping up all over the place...

We have three within a half hours drive of each other. Tracy, Antioch and Pittsburg.

                            Same sort of deal.

                            Looks like good eats!

So let me get this straight. In the unlikely event you are able to finish this monster, you get to get sick and disgust yourself and the rest of humanity for free. If you can't finish it, you'll be charged $30 to get sick and look the fool . . . does this make any sense?

                              O.K. I'm in.
