Cancelled Fireworks - LOL

Now we all know Disney likes to cancel their fireworks due to safety and all...

But the San Diego Fireworks show got "cancelled" and everyone complained???
Well technically, It did fully show. but all at once.
It intended to be a 20 minute display, but instead ALL the fireworks shoot off at ONCE! Total show time: 14 seconds!

If that were to happen to me, I would think it was awesome but people complained bout it? I mean I guess?

Seriously! It's like the ultimate grand finale! (The best part of the show IMO)

I read about this in the times last night. I'm not sure what this has to do with Disneyland, but I would be pissed, too. apparently they didn't cancel the show until 20 minutes later. So people waited around all that time for nothing. I think they have a right to be a little upset.

it was still a fireworks spectacular, and it still cost them thousands of $$ just like any other fireworks show and it's something you will never forget. it was still amazing and spectacular. it still happened just all at once.

I think that I'd be totally impressed with the event. How often would anyone be around when such a spectacular went off? The sight of it must have been awesome. Those people have an outstanding story they can always talk about.

It would kind of be like if on your annual trip to Disneyland, all the attractions failed and they had to walk everyone through every attraction in order to leave the park. While it would have been disappointing to miss out on actually riding on your favorite ride, the experience would have been worthwhile for most.

I enjoyed the fireworks show we went to, but I would have been happy to skip it to see that event (if I had only known). And they didn't have to sit through a whole hour or so in order to see it.

I was there last night and watched the show from a balcony during dinner on the bay. I couldn't stop cracking up! :lol:

I just don't get why people are saying, "it was a no-show", and acting like nothing happened. They are reacting as though there was a malfunction and no fireworks shot off at all.

They got the exact opposite.

THAT was the most spectacular fireworks display I have EVER seen!!!

And they say it was a letdown? I'd pay ANYTHING to see something like that in person!

This reminds me of when they cancel the fireworks at DL. I remember hearing the disappointed moan of coming up from the crowd...and laughing! :evil:

From what I read, it wasn't cancelled, but it was a huge mistake that they all got launched at once.

In any case, I'd love to see this kind of thing happen at Disneyland. I want to see the lights try and keep up with the explosions and have the music sped up too. And then play it all back in slow motion and see how well it lines up.

the 2008 4th of july at DL got cancelled "Due to high winds" which is not true. it was obviously not windy.

in the video look closely at 00:32 seconds, the firework shell on the left behind the tree went too low and too soon.
it's clearly missing when it was supposed to go off at 00:36 seconds.
they blamed it on the wind but really, it was just a technical problem but don't want to admit that.

I live in Colorado, and ALL of the public fireworks displays were cancelled this year per state executive order due to all the wild fires.

The irony? It rained and HAILED all day of the 4th.
