So I don't know why I haven't mentioned this before, but there is a very cool a little known opportunity offered through Buena Vista Pictures (whoch distributes Disney, Touchstone, and Miramax Pictures). I have been involved with the Buena Vista Network for about 4 years now and it is a great way to make extra money on the weekends. It basically involbes being a kind of "secret shopper". A typical weekend will involve visiting up to three theatres and recording the "coming attractions" played before new films. If a BV picture is opening (like this weekend with Ice princess) then you are paid to attend two showings and watch the entire movie. It takes up some time on the weekends, but I haven't paid to see a movie in 4 years and I usually get some neat stuff like DVD's soundtracks, and exclusive movie memorabila like t-shirts and other promotional materials. They are taking applications for positions all over the US and Canada, so anyone can do it. I love doing it and I bet there are plenty of you out there who would be great at it.
