  • What Movie Could You Watch Over & Over ? And You Never Tire Of It!

There are a few movies that if I see them on t.v., I will stop and watch them over and over. One is "Good Will Hunting", I love that movie! It's so touching. ("It's not your fault, it's not your fault".) Makes me cry every time!!!

Another is "Arthur"...I know it's dated, and it's old, but, I laugh so much when I see it...because I remember how hilarious it was to me the first time I saw it. "Fletch" falls into that category too...very 80's, but, also very funny to me!

So, which movies are your favorites that you will watch over and over, ad nauseum?

I'll go old school . . . Casablanca, without question.

      "We'll always have Paris."

"You played it for her. You can play it for me. Play it."

"Louie, I think this is the beginning of a beautiful friendship."

"Of all the gin joints in all the towns in all the world, she walks into mine."

      I could go on . . . .

Newsies, Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves, 10 Things I Hate About You, Clueless (on now!)
        Good morning, son
        In twenty years from now
Maybe we'll both sit down and have a few beers
And I can tell you 'bout today
And how I picked you up and everything changed
        It was pain
        Sunny days and rain
I knew you'd feel the same things...

I can't watch ANY movie everyday for the rest of my life over and over again and not get tired of it. However, if you're talking about once a YEAR or so, Christmas isn't Christmas without "It's a Wonderful Life." And being a hard core Tolkein fan, I will be wearing out my extended DVD versions for many years to come. The Great Race, Young Frankenstein, The Holy Grail, Second Hand Lions...once a year seems just about right.

In by no means any particular order:

Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the Black Pearl
                Kundun
                Little Buddha
Ocean's Eleven (Clooney, not the boys)
                Any Harry Potter
                The Lion King
                Charlie and the Chocolate Factory
                Gladiator

These are movies that I'll watch at any given time. Always in the mood for 'em.
"But every night, when it gets dark
                and the stars come out,
I'll look up on her behalf.
I'll look up in the sky and think of you."

                  Aristocats...surprise huh?
                  Pirates of the Caribbean

Toy Story 1 or 2 (for Hubby)

                  Piglet's Big Movie (for Wolfette)
Mom, remember, it's not what a person is like on the outside that counts,
it's what they are like in their HEART!

Cool Runnings, I love that movie. It's not my favourite or anything, but for some reason it's the only movie I can watch 10 times in a row and still want to watch it again.

No question...a movie I've seen at least 25 times...

                      Field Of Dreams.

Yes, I'm a baseball fan but this movie is about a whole lot more than baseball. Every time I see the scene where doctor (Burt Lancaster) saves the little girl...and then Ray Kinsella (Kevin Costner) playing catch with his Dad...many men can relate to that...
                      And James Earl Jones...
"You're from the 60's...go back...there's no room for you in the future..."
"People will come, Ray, people will most assuredly come, because its baseball...for it's money they have, and peace they lack..."
Also, among sports-related movies, "Brian's Song" - the original, of course - not the silly Disney re-make...
Surprisingly, perhaps, very few true sports movies would make my list except...
                      North Dallas Forty
                      The Longest Yard
                      Also on my list...
                      "Best In Show"
                      "Tootsie"
                      "Officer And A Gentleman"
                      Thanks for your consideration -
                      Barry

Ok, a little OT but my roommate's watching Clueless in the other room, and we totally realized that part of it was filmed in our cruddy little town! Of course, she recognized the liquor store!

But, to add to the list, Muppets Take Manhattan and Muppets Christmas Carol.
