  • What's your dream?

Me, I dream of opening up a little Greek cafe, serving warm sweet pastries and hot Greek coffee in little cups. Nothing elaborate, but something quaint and comfortable. A place to sit back, and enjoy the ambiance and music. I even have the name picked out, ideas for menus and decorations. I would love to do this one day, but know how finicky it is to start a small business...especially in the food industry. I'd hate to venture into something that may go belly up within a year. Ah...but to dream, eh?

So, what do you dream of doing...either achievable or not?
Marge: Barnacle Bill's Home Pregnancy Test? Homer, shouldn't we have gone with a better-known brand?
Homer: But Marge, this one came with a corn-cob pipe!
Marge: [reading from the test box] "Ahoy, Maties! If the water turns blue, a baby for you! If purple ye see, no baby thar be!"
Homer: So, which is it? Blue or purple?
    Marge: Pink.
    Homer: D'oh!
Marge: "If ye test should fail, to a doctor set sail!"

I am, by lifestyle choice, a perpetual dreamer.

However, at the moment my dreams involve traveling to every Disneyland, seeing New York one day and numerous other places.

I would also like to have a film I've written made, or some of my written work published. Just something that I can point to and be proud of, regardless of success.

        Re: What's your dream?

first, just to be happy. if i could be one of those positive, optimistic people, i think that would be all that i need to fulfill my dreams.

after that, my #1 dream is to be a performer. i don't care to be a "star." i would just love to earn a living dancing or singing...back-up, chorus, something...just not "exotic" dancing.

i also dream of traveling. i want to go to DLRP, TDL, HKDL, & the Disney Cruise. i want to see lots of tropical places, including going back to hawaii.

i also want to be wealthy, in the sense that i don't have to worry about money.

I dream of meeting a rich, well-hung guy who treats me like a goddess.

Actually any two out of those three things would be good.

I would like to come into just enough money so that we could go to a one income family. Have several more kids and build a healthy and happy family.

I dreamt I was rolling a jelly donut, and there's this snake wearing a vest.

I dream that, hopefully one day all the countries in the world will eventually create peace (doubtful) but it might happen.

                      Re: What's your dream?

My dream since I was very young is to be an anthropologist. I know what it entails and I love that aspect. I'm not in it for the glory, fortune, or "adventure" in the sense of a lost ark or temple. My especially favorite aspect is to end up in a program with an extensive library that I can disappear into for a few years. And hopefully get dirt underneath my fingernails!

My next passion is theater. I don't like being in front of the curtain, but I love love love the behind the scenes. I was a stage manager of several of my high school's productions and I caught the bug. I love being a part of something. Being able to point to the production and include my blood, sweat, and tears into the success of it. Because of my first dream, this one is unlikely to go any further than my dreams. Even more unlikely because I've already, technically, been a part of it.

Finally, I want to have enough money in the family to pay the bills, buy a house wherever we want, and put some money away on the side. I'm tired of scraping by and not being able to pursue my first two dreams for this reason.

I'll look up in the sky and think of you."

To travel the world! I want to see everything that I can, especially Europe and Asia. I am completely fascinated by other country's history's, cultures, languages, and traditions, especially Russian and French history. I would love a good career that involves it, but have yet to find one that requires travel and such....

                          Re: What's your dream?

My dream is something that I never thought would be my dream 10 years ago while I was in college dreaming about being a career woman in a gorgeous black suit and high heels making truckloads of money. My life took a drastic turn and I became a mother. I now know what satisfaction there is in being a good wife and mother. So now my dream is to be the perfect homemaker. Sadly, I think it is something that many people look down on- but to me it is very rewarding.

I want to be the kind of wife who provides the kind of environment where any night of the week it could be possible for my husband to bring home a coworker or my kids to bring home a friend at the drop of a hat and there will always be a clean house and a good meal ready to go. I want to be able to throw the perfect dinner party and host the perfect clumber party. I want to be the kind of mom who is available to drive to every soccer practice, be involved in each school activity, bakes the best chocolate cookies in the neighborhood and can be silly and goofy with her kids on the couch each night before bed.

To some I know my dream sounds trivial, but it is what it is.
