      Cool thread and link, Karla...

      Here's mine...

June 20, 1956 - "The Wayward Wind" by Gogi Grant ( a song I've always loved by the way)

      Yours, Karla - anyone else's...

Smoke, smoke, smoke, that cigarette. Don't recall the artist.

Not too pleasant a thought, with both my dad an my brother each dying from overuse of tobacco.

But that lucky old sun ain't got nothin' to do
but roll around heaven all day...

Sung by Cowboy singing star Tex Williams...
                              CHORUS
Smoke, smoke, smoke that cigarette Puff, puff, puff until you smoke yourself to death.
Tell St. Peter at the Golden Gate That you hate to make him wait, But you just gotta have another cigarette.

I've always gotten kind of a chuckle out of this "novelty" type song. But experiences such as BarbaraAnn's make it hardly a laughing matter.
This probably doesn't help anybody, but I just know alot about certain songs and like to show off every once in a while )
