We've discussed, and screamed, and yelled and attacked and asked about reputation. A brief recap:
Get it? Got it? Good. Now here's my question. When I arrived at MiceChat back in January, the highest number of rep, and I mean the mods, was Five Dark Green Squares and One Light Green Square. Now of course, they all have five dark green and six light green.
So my question is thus: Will the reputation system continue to go up? The mods, and even regular folks like myself will continue to recieve rep, and their points will go higher and higher. Will the system still stop at 5DG 6LG? If so, I will be hard to tell if someone has 2000 points or 5000. And if it just keeps going up, then when does it stop? A year or two from now, will we be seeing rows and rows of glowing green boxes? And someone with that many points could have a lot of impact. If my Reputation Power Points were over 500, I could basically ban someone from the boards.
Now, I am a firm supporter of the Reputation System. There are people who say it doesn't matter, but it does. I helps people know who they can trust. it gives people an outlet to let other people know if they especially like or dislike their contributions to the board. It also can help Admins; after all, maybe one day one of us regular members could become a mod (figment1986?
).
Ok, now discuss, (mods?) but PLEASE, NO NAME CALLING OR BAD MOUTHING HERE! We have good, clean fun now, ya hear?
