What do you wanna be when you grow up????

Ok, so the title is a little figurative, but I was wondering today what my fellow micechatters do for a living while they are not on micechat (or for some of you, while they are)

So I pose a question or two:

1- what do you do to pay the bills?
2- Is this what you want to be doing?
3- If not, what do you really want to do?

1. HR for a mortgage co

3. Something artistic or entertaining. Maybe one of these days i'll use my b.a. other than for scratch paper. I really always wanted to do broadway. (i long for the lime light...always a thespian at heart )

1) Currently I am a student. I have a job at Northrop Grumman Newport News to go back to after school, if I so choose.

2) About as much as I wish to have my eyes drilled out of my head with toothpicks.

3) WDI, all the way!

1- Medical insurance billing/ buena vista marketing
2- not really, I am studying to be a nurse
3- I would love to work in the parks again someday (and I always wanted to be on broadway too cuzco!)

1) I am the liaison between an insurance negotiation firm and a fat-cat insurance company.

2) Oh. Lord no.

3) I have undergrad degress in directing for the theatre and in writing. Foci in film and Shakespeare. I am currently writing a collection of short stories called "Yoga for Fat Girls" about women and bodies and my own experience, which I hope to also adapt for the screen. As well, I'm half of a writing-couple researching and drafting a screenplay about the working relationship and friendship between Orson Welles and his theatre/radio producer, John Houseman. Fascinating stuff. Someday I'd like to direct again, for theatre and for film.

1. Athletic Communications/Publicist for UC Irvine athletics
2. takes up too much time to make a long term career if I ever plan on having a life of any kind
3. I have b.s. in tourism so who knows...

1. Music teacher/pianist at a performing arts high school and college student
2. Not exactly but I'd be happy doing this for my career
3. Writing film scores, accompanist and music director on broadway, many film-related occupations, pianist at coke corner...I could name many things

1. My husband pays the bills. He is in sales/marketing. I am a stay-at-home Mom. Raising one son, one husband and currently negotiating a possible 2nd child...

2. Yes, for the time being I enjoy being a full time mom.

3. One day putting my Communications/ Public Relations degree to work at Disneyland, possibly in Guest Relations. Someday...

1. I pay the bills by taking my husbands paycheck and dispersing it accordingly I am a stay at home mom of two wonderful, although quite talkative, little boys. I'm going to try and make use of either my Bachelor's degree in Community Affairs(aka Useless 101)or Medical Administration come Fall of this year.

3. I would like to get my teaching credentials and teach lower elementary, real glamourous huh

1. I am a Nurses Assistant in the home health care field.

2. I never imagined I'd be doing this, but after being a Mom, and taking care of my Dad during his last days, it was a natural move. I'm pretty surprised to find that I like this job.

3. In my heart of hearts I want to be a professional roller coaster rider. That or Queen of the Known Universe.

1. I play a very small part in making sure the large Internet company I work for doesn't get sued. (I edit, too!)

2. It's fine for right now. I have no current plans to leave, thoigh I have no plans to be big corporate girl *ugh* either.

3. Wife and mom... it's all I've ever wanted to be!

-I run a family child care (preschool program) from home

-Yes, I love it (most of the time). But I only just realised it is a more permanent position that I planned (I was only going to do it until my youngest is in 1st grade...well that's in Sept. and I have no plans of going anywhere, in fact I just signed a new kid up)

-If I could do something else (I'm surprised no one else has said it yet)

1. Paying the Bills: Creating Special FX Props out of my home studio. (Also Voice Over, though not as much as before due to lack of time (to busy 'shrinking heads' and makin' Monsters...but I do get to do some Theme Park Announcements....not DL though.)

2. Aboslutely love it! New artistic challenges every day. And I'm home!

1. I write checks or go on line to pay the bills!!!! To make the dough to write those checks and pay for high speed internet, I work full time as a Jr. High/High School youth minister

2. I was just talking to someone about this. I've worked retail, fast food, and in the medical field (wanted to do Disney but they didn't want me LOL) and have never found as much joy and fulfillment as I do in working with these kids. they amaze me, make me laugh, make me feel old, and are fun to be dorky with!!! The only downside is grumpy parents. But I can deal.

3. If I HAD to do something else (i.e. part time) I'd want to be Mickey Mouse in the beginning and end of Fantasmic!!!! I still get the chills everytime I see him in that show!!! (see?? My dorkdom shows!!!)

3 1/2......I'd like to be a wife and mom someday.......someday......tick...tick...tick (that's my clock)
