  • Your first car

What was your very first car? Was it new and shiny? Or beat up and tattered? Any amusing stories to share?
Marge: Barnacle Bill's Home Pregnancy Test? Homer, shouldn't we have gone with a better-known brand?
Homer: But Marge, this one came with a corn-cob pipe!
Marge: [reading from the test box] "Ahoy, Maties! If the water turns blue, a baby for you! If purple ye see, no baby thar be!"
Homer: So, which is it? Blue or purple?
    Marge: Pink.
    Homer: D'oh!
Marge: "If ye test should fail, to a doctor set sail!"

My first car was a 1984 Oldsmobole delta 88 that my parents had 4 ten years. It was actually in decent shape, until I wrecked it a month after I got my license.

Everything after that has been a heap until a few weeks ago when we got a 2001 Chevy Impala LS- super nice car!

1977 F-150. I paid for it. 115k miles, and it was in great shape. My sister wrecked it within a month of when I first went to school.

My parents then purchased me a 1994 F-150. This one burnt up by the side of the road when pulling a trailer to my apartment when preparing to move from VA to Idaho. I do mean burnt up. There was 12 foot tall flames coming from under the hood and it whited out all traffic. I have a picture of the front license plate. I wish I had a camera when it happened.

Since I had the trailer I needed a truck. I purchased a 2003 F-250. It is very impractical in LA...but I love the truck.

My 1st car was a 1998 Jeep grand cheeroke. It was my 17th B-day present.
It was Red and fully loaded. I got in a car accident a few years later and it was totally wrecked.

Then my mom let me drive her 1995 Jeep cheeroke for awhile, until I had enough money for to buy my own car.

And now I have a 2002 Green Kia Optima, in 2 years it will be paid off. I think my next car will be either a Chevy blazer or another Jeep.

Mine was a 92 red eclipse...which i got much later than 92. I had her a short while, while she too blew up on the side of the road. I miss her still. Now i have a simple 02 nissan sentra. Oh well, it runs.

My first car was an '88 Ford Escort. It was my high school graduation present.

It was actually a cute car, white with a spoiler and tinted windows. People would actually compliment my car which was weird for an escort. I was so proud when I bought myself a CD player and speakers for it. Then one night at my apartment, it got broken into and all stolen, including ALL my CDs. I as so devastated.

The thing broke down like every other week. I even had the engine rebuilt 3 times. Finally just donated it. Now I drive and Explorer and I LOVE it!!

My first car was a white '91 chevy acura, given to me used by my grandfather. I bought my first new car last year...a blue 2004 suzuki forenza which has been a very good car. Next I want to go for a mustang. Maybe.

I reallllly want a used jag but we'll see about that.

my first car was a silver '86 Acura Legend that had been my mom's car for about 8 years, the transmission dropped one summer on my way to work. I eventually got a silver '99 Mazda Protege that I still have.

Mine was an '82 Buick Skylark that I bought for $400. And it wasn't even worth that.

Here is the rundown of cars I have had for the past 14 years.

                    '82 Buick Skylark
'82 Toyota Tercel (This was actually a good car)
                    '91 Ford Escort GT
                    '93 Toyota Tercel
'91 Chevy Blazer (Best Car I ever owned)
                    '02 Ford Focus (POS)
'01 Kia Sephia (at the same time as the Focus)
'02 Ford Escape (got rid of the Focus)

                    Currently have:
'03 Kia Spectra (Got rid of the Sephia)
'03 Ford Focus (another POS, I'm done with Ford after this one)

Any of the above would certainly describe all of the Ford's I have owned. Except the Escape, that was actually a pretty good car.

I, nor my family, for the most part, have had issue with the ones we have owned. There have been quite a few of them.
