  • what are you reading?

I think it would be good to talk about what books we are reading. This way, other people can see if maybe they would be interested in reading it as well. I love to read and am always open to new book suggestions, so I figured why not?
I just finished: Land Of My Heart by Tracie Peterson and am now starting The Coming Storm by Tracie Peterson, #2 in the series.
The first book was really good, and I hope the second one will be too.
Press today is so concerned with cool vs. not cool that they're starting to forget good vs. bad. I'm not sure I'll ever be "cool", but I will always tirelessly strive to be "great". - Josh Groban

Today was my last day of classes. So to celebrate I swung by Barnes and Noble and picke dup the new biography Doc Holiday: The Life and Legend by Gary L. Roberts. I used to live outside Tombstone so I couldn't resist, but I haven't started reading it yet.

A Tree Grows in Brooklyn, something I never read, but having heard so many good things about it that, as an English teacher, I had to read at some point.

Not at all. I thought it was total hack and should have gone the way of a screenplay. Outside of the creativity behind the mystery, the story was predicatble and cliche, so no, you are not alone.

I'm reading "She Wakes" by Jack something or other...Horror, quick read.

Its been sitting on my nightstand for nigh on a month and I just can't bring myself to read it. Its too.... popular. Plus I majored in Art History, so I'll guarantee I'll pick the book apart, and that's not fun.
