Merchandising, however, will begin with the kickoff of Disneyland's 50th birthday celebration. The new Disneyland Hawaii is said to be a present from Disneyland.

Disneyland Hawaii - Old Characters, new attitude!

In the rich tradition of using Disney characters to their full potential, Disneyland Hawaii will take the next step in AA technology, and 3D film to show audiences the wonder of a British bear who leaves the hundred acre wood to visit his cousin in Hawaii. As they travel the islands learning about the environment and local culture, they realize how much they have in common. At each stop on the tour they recieve a new flowered necklace, replicas of which will be available in the gift shop.

To follow in the tradition of the launch of the Stich Encouter at WDW, Disneyland Hawaii will plaster all landmarks, trains, planes and automobiles with artwork by Stitch. The only thing that will remain untouched by Stitches graffiti, er, um, ads, will be orphaned wildlife, waterways, things that are blue, and leis*.

The Stitch themed leis started to scare the tourists.

Due to capital allocation reconsideration, Disneyland Hawaii has been reimagined as a resort exclusively geared to hosting corporate executive retreats. First Lady Jane Eisner is consulting on the decor and amenities for DLH Resort, which will welcome senior executives (VP and above) from Fortune 500 companies only.

Bob Iger announced the project at the latest GlobalIlluminatiBankMedia Confab: "Disneyland Hawaii, with its international quality conference center, four star accommodations and state of the art security equipment truly marks the next step in realizing the dreams of Walt Disney. The beauty of Hawaii, plus the magic of Disney will make the select few feel like they are in another world while carrying out the work of improving shareholder value."

In a first for Disneyland resort operations, cartoon characters will be strictly forbidden in any form on the premises. Eisner announced tuesday that after he steps down from CEO.. he will become the CEO for the new subsidary "Disney Night" program...... where your favorite characters will tuck you in at night at lugorious resorts in the middle of knowhere.... and you have a whole hour with them that night....

however last wed the subsidary closed when a persion claimed to have been fondled too well by a new character.... tiger the bear... LOL

I don't know if any of you heard or not, but this new park in Hawaii is actually going to have to put the parking garage on a seperate island and ferry people to the island that the park is on. A bit strange, but they're not dealing with a whole lot of land space. Also, the matterhorn clone they are putting up will be built completely out of cooled lava.

Of course, I bet Al's going to use it as yet another excuse to blast the company and claim that the magic is gone.

Disney Hawaii has already banned Al's IP address, so he can't even view their web site. So, I'm not sure he's aware of it yet.

But from the looks of the constructions photos, things are moving along nicely. The satellite photos are amazing as well. The way they have filled the once protected underwater ecosystem with fill-rock to create more land for the park is simply amazing. Pure Disney construction magic.

I believe that the 15 remaining blue dolphins were relocated to Sea World which has a better than 25% success rate with rare aquatic mammals. The six surviving animals will be a sight to behold in their new concrete and glass enclosure. Disney hopes to someday return the animals to an attraction based upon the legend of the Blue Dolphin.
