  • What Wikipedia has to say on MiceChat

MiceChat is a message board themed around fans of the Disney company and Disney theme parks. It is the sister site to MiceAge, a fan created Disney news and information site. The site had long received requests for a message board but did not act upon them. In January of 2005, several friends and fans of the site created their own message board, aptly titled MiceChat. The site had its first member register on January 10, 2005, and continued to grow in popularity. Just over a year old, the site reached 6000 members on May 9, 2006.
I just thought it was cool!

I think it's funny that the person who is immortalized for writing the first post on Micechat has a grand total of.....three posts.

I remember seeing on MiceAge that "Message boards are now open" and I thought "Bah, that's for younger folks" so I ignored it for oh, a month. Then I peeked and saw info on the DL Hotel and I had something to say about that. Then I saw a funny thread in the Lounge about Jungle Cruise jokes and I HAD to say something. Joined in Feb and had 2 posts. Didn't get sucked in to the MC vortex until March. The rest, as they say, is history.
I give myself very good advice, but I very seldom follow it.
That explains the trouble that I'm always in...

Never thought that it was nerdy here. Did notice that the MiceChatters who answered my many Disneyland questions were very passionate about their park.

i purposely avoided the boards for a long time because i knew i would become addicted and didnt want to risk my job. (i was in trouble for excessive net usage) then i changed departments and my new boss was much cooler so i finally took the plunge.
