  • Something for Haunted Mansion fans and guitarists (bassists too)

Now everyone knows the infamous song, Grim Grinning Ghosts. But can you play it on guitar? If not, you can now.

Using a little program called Power Tab, I imported a MIDI file of the song from a website (whose link I lost, sorry) and did some tweaking and got a pretty simple tabbed version of the melody line on guitar and the bass line for bass. If you play the guitar line alone or with the singing, it does match up. It's pretty simple to play, as is the bassline.

    Here's the guitar tab: http://tinyurl.com/j8k3r
    Here's the bass tab: http://tinyurl.com/kfo2g
And here's the Power Tab file: http://tinyurl.com/gxxgd

If anyone happens to record a version, please post it. I may be doing one myself.

Awsome. I'll make a recording later tonight.

    And beware the MPA!

      now thats a cool programme!

      the simple (one string version) is 0762 0786 7 7 7b 7 520 good on either e (or both!)

very cool to play with a shedload of distorion and feedback (though not for the neighbours) especially sliding between the notes, would love to try on a fretless!

If I remember correctly, I saw the one string tab on the same site I found a bunch of MIDIs. It was cool, but it didn't sound very full, which is why I imported the MIDIs and tweaked to get it simple but effective.

it isnt very full, but it sounds good through controlled feedback, crank it and try it!!
