  • Birthday in Chicago!

My birthday is not until tomorrow. But, we went to Chicago for the past 3 days to celebrate and it was SO WONDERFUL. Every time we go it just confirms that moving there is a great decision. Pictures to come. For now, you can check out our other pics(if you'd like) at www.neuman917.com. Have fun!!!

I know exactly how you feel. I was born and raised in sacramento too, but moved to boring suburb of Cincinnati.
Press today is so concerned with cool vs. not cool that they're starting to forget good vs. bad. I'm not sure I'll ever be "cool", but I will always tirelessly strive to be "great". - Josh Groban

              Re: Birthday in Chicago!

The best city I've ever been to! I LOVE CHICAGO! Okay, here goes my first photo thread:

the view from our hotel room(Hyatt Regency McCormick Place):

What can I say? We love the L!

Gotta give props to our trip sponsor(aka...our employer!):

              Chinatown!

              the view from Chinatown:

              Chicago's mountain range:

              Now, THIS is architectural bliss!!!

Shades of pink(aka obsessive picture madness from the Pink Line)...please excuse the light reflections in the window!

one of my favorites and completely by accident:

              still on the Pink Line!:

future home of me and my husband(I wish), Presidential Towers!

Back to walking again(7 miles in 2 days...I LOVE THIS CITY!)

(can you tell my husband loves these shots?)

Two skylines in one trip...I LOVE IT!!

              GO CUBS!!!

                Re: Birthday in Chicago!

Wow! Great photos! :cgrin: (But you might want to think of re-sizing them as I am on hi-speed and they still took a while to load.)

                I must say,
                1. Love the Chinatown pictures!
                2. The "accident" picture with the words "LOOP"! very nice.
                3. And the sign that read Public Self Park Opening May 2004. Classic!

Very nice! I'm glad you enjoyed yourself and happy birthday!!!

                  Happy Birthday
As nice as the other parks are, we must always remember that it all began at Disneyland. Disneyland should be the crown jewel in the Disney crown.

Happy Birthday, and welcome back to the greatest city in my opinion.

As far as the Cubs go, this fan has a hard time keeping her chin up. Great to see your posting again more on MiceChat.

Happy Birthday. I have one question. What is the reddish building with the glass roofline and the extensive sculpture? You have two pictures of it.
Ooo, heaven is a place on earth.

I think that's the library! Isn't it gorgeous? That is one of many reasons why I feel Chicago is far above any other city when it comes to architecture. The skyscraper was born in Chicago!...and I am a skyscraper FREAK!!!
