Is Pete a dog or a cat, or even something else?

I never thought about it, just assumed he was a dog (as is Goofy) but he does kinda have cat ears I guess.

What do you think?

Pete is mostlikely a mix breed.. but has alot of cat charastics by fighting with mice and dogs... (think about it... pete was in the original steamboat willie cartoon)

pete is by far the oldest disney character that is still making films today... even older then mickey mouse (pete was in the original alice comedy cartoons... before mickey was ever created) its kind of freaky when you think about it that way :confused:

Pretty much for the same reason that a mouse, duck, and countless other animals in the cartoon universe can... they've been humanized.

Pluto's just a regular dog.

And yeah... it's weird that a mouse owns a dog, but it's even weirder that the mouse that owns him would have to be about 4' tall!

Now, isn't it kinda weird that Donald doesn't wear pants and just walks around half naked?
