Saturday, I went to Golden Gate Recreational Area. It's basically a defunct Anti Ship base from WWII. They built large guns and bunkers in to the mountains just outside of the Golden Gate across from San Francisco. It was rather foggy, which is how the bay area weather is.
A couple shots of the Golden Gate bridge.
Here's where one of the guns was mounted.
More lookouts and other "Batterys" and barracks.
Point Bonita lighthouse.
This tunnel was used to bring the guns in since big trucks couldn't make it using the narrow winding roads.
I hate robots...

Good morning, son
In twenty years from now
Maybe we'll both sit down and have a few beers
And I can tell you 'bout today
And how I picked you up and everything changed
It was pain
Sunny days and rain
I knew you'd feel the same things... sigpic
If you're taking kids to the bay you should go to the Exploritorium. Great science museum where they let you play with all the experiments! I used to have a blast there as a kid. Have yet to go to Alcatraz though. We're planning a trip there with my in-laws after the wedding though.
:ap: How much longer? Are we there yet? Why aren't we there yet?:yea:
