    Reading for fun:
my 8 yr old just dicovered the "children classics" section at B&N, so I'm re-reading (as she's finished with them) The secret Garden, A little Princess, Treasure Island, prince & the pauper.. that's it so far. That way we can talk about them when she's done.

Oh, and also she just read the 1st Harry Potter (I know, how 20th century of her) and of course we are both hooked now!!!

I have one book I've been trying to finish for a couple of months (not a good sign, I know) called The Virgin's Lover, supposed to be juicy historical fiction about Queen Elizabeth. It's the 3rd in a trilogy but so far it's the worst of the 3 in my humble opinion. (loved the 1st two)
The Children's classics books are great. I'm sure she enjoys them. I'm more of a classics books myself.
Has she read the "Anne Of Green Gables" series yet?
Press today is so concerned with cool vs. not cool that they're starting to forget good vs. bad. I'm not sure I'll ever be "cool", but I will always tirelessly strive to be "great". - Josh Groban

I finally just started reading "Socrates in Love" by Kyoichi Katayama.

It's had me crying since page 1...

I really want to see the J-drama and movie after I've finished reading the novel.
