Parents kidnap 19 year old daughter to force abortion
"He who knows only his own side of the case, knows little of that. His reasons may be good, and no one may have been able to refute them. But if he is equally unable to refute the reasons on the opposite side; if he does not so much as know what they are, he has no ground for preferring either opinion" --John Stuart Mill

Re: Parents kidnap 19 year old daughter to force abortion
This story sickens me.
I am the product of a crisis pregnancy. My late Grandmother (d. 2002) almost made my Mom, then 17, have an abortion with me in 1971. But because she was in her second trimester, it was not allowable - and before Roe Vs. Wade, etc. My Grandma also tried to have my Mother sent to Missouri to have me put up for adoption once born. My Father's family fought this tooth and nail.
Mom and Dad married August 1971 - I was born 3 1/2 months later after mom had turned 18. Mom and Dad are still married to this day - quite happily.
My wife is the product of the same thing. She got pregnant at 15, married the Dad - had my wife and got a divorce a year later. She remarried at 19 and his happily married to that same man.
Our stories may be 'not the norm' but they/we survived and are better for it.

I consider myself pro-choice but I am NOT pro-force! That is insane! Did they think the Dr. would perform it against her will??"He who knows only his own side of the case, knows little of that.
