I want to CRY!!!!! It's been 10 years!!!!

My son was only 2 years old when the first tickle me Elmo came out


10 years later I will STILL not wait in line or kill someone to get "THE" gift of the season

I remember when the orginal came out I had a coworker who paid $500 just so her son would have one on Christmas morning under the tree. I told her she was nuts. Well long story short Christmas day arrives her son loved it so much he took Elmo in his room and cut a bunch of fur off of it and it looked like Elmo had a mohawk. Now that was funny. She still gets ticked when you remind her of it.

After watching the video, it's a cute idea, yes. I'd never buy one, though, i'm not that stupid to pay $40 or more for it.

But I can say with almost absolute certainty that soon, there will be a version of Elmo on youtube laughing and saying swear words.

Oh no. I guarantee it shows up at my house this Christmas, my MIL always gets the most annoying toys. I mean, my daughter will love it, it's just annoying to me because of an old incident with my oldest, an Elmo that sang the ABC's and being snowed into our apartment for 9 days straight with that little red bugger!

The movements on it are awesome, though. We do have the Hokey Pokey Elmo and it was cute but that darn voice... yikes.

I haven't seen the video, but I've heard some audio from this doll. All I can say is thank god my daughter is too old for Elmo. That's got to be one of the most annoying things I've ever heard.
