  • For anyone planning a Disneyland Inspired Costume for Halloween. Got Ideas to Share?

Just curious to see if MiceChatters are already thinking about Halloween and what costume ideas/thoughts/suggestions they have might have that anyone here reading can benefit from.

Maybe share what materials you use for your costume, share your Disneyland Halloween Costume pics, Tell us about what parts of Disneyland inspired you for your costume idea, also what ideas you have that have yet to be created, costume suggestions for a group of people, etc.

Have fun with this thread. Share share share.

Well I've shared my costume idea with everyone. There's pumpkin mickey ears at the park something could be done with those if someone is desperate!

I had to go to a 50's party the other night, and I got thinking about being a mousketeer. I have a friend with an embroidery machine and she would put my name on it - I couldn't find my white turtleneck though

Well I'm going to be a pirate for Halloween. Maybe like Jack Sparrow's sister? LOL  I'd love to be Belle for Halloween, but not in her gold-yellow dress, but in the blue and white peasant dress. I was already Minnie Mouse back in 2nd grade and then a Mouseketeer last Halloween.

My dream is to be Belle for Halloween, but the costume is soooo expensive!!! It's at least $70, and I won't pay that much for the cheap fabric. Blue and white dress or gold ballgown, I don't care.

I'm sure my mom can make my costume...but we just need to find the time to do it. She was too busy this year making a blanket for my new niece.

One of my daughters is going to be tinkerbelle again. But her step mom is handmaking her costume. So far it looks freaking adorable. As for me, I have no idea yet.

I posted this somewhere else, but my girls are going to be Aurora (pink dress) and Ariel (mint dress from Ariel's Grotto). If anyone knows anything about making jewlery can you give me some hints on Ariel's necklace. Crazylegs sent me a great close up picture of Ariel that shows her necklace really nice. I was just going to find something simular on ebay but her Aunt thinks we can make it.

My SIL is going to make the redheads dress from POTC and is also making her husband the Auctioneer costume. She has a website www.wewantstheredhead.com that shows her progress. Just the fabric was quite expensive. But she also has an eye for detail and tries to match everything as close as she can to the ride.

I'm going to be Merriweather, to be with poohnpiglet's little Aurora. I've been Fairy Godmother and Mrs. Potts to their Cinderella and Belle. I'll be making the costume myself....the hat will be the most difficult. I'm thinking about buying a witch's hat, spray painting it white, then blue (because spray painting the blue directly over black just won't work). But poohnpiglet and i were looking the other day at pictures of all three fairies and wondering...do they have their wings at the park? or just in the movie and book? Do I need little tiny wings?

Last year for Halloween, my son was Aladdin. I made his costume. It was really easy. One year my husband and I were Cruella and Jasper. That was fun.

                        It's always me

Something I saw that was really cute and funny and totally easy was this....

3 adults had purchased those towels that have a character face for a hood that you put your head through the middle of and the towel hangs down in the front and back..... they wore them to Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party and it was really fun. One was Mickey, one Minnie, and th eother Pooh. They looked like they were having a blast and got lots of stares and laughs (good ones) from many other people. It was simple and funny. Of course they were way to small for adults to be wearing but that made it all the more funny!

<-- Those are the Halloween ears.

They don't go with my costume so I'm not sure why I bought them..
