Cliff Edwards lived to about 76. After selling 74 million records and appearing in about 100 films during his career... due to alcoholism, drugs, alimony and gambling he died broke and on welfare in 1971.

Cliff Edwards, actually died on July 17, 1971. Interesting tie in to the 50th Anniversary of Disneyland.
