  • A dating question

This is more a question for the ladies but it should be interesting to see everyones responses.

Say some one wanted to ask some one out that just had her boyfriend break-up with her, how long should this some one wait before aking her out?

    Re: A dating question

Well, she'll probably be wanting a rebound guy so I'd say ASAP.

Kidding, I really have no expertise in this area
    What an idiot....

Probably before someone else asks her.

I say dont rush and it depends on what kind of relationship you want.
But make sure you keep all others away.

Does she know you like her?

I forget the HS math for this, it's like a week for every month they dated or something
If its a long term relationship the girl would be getting out of I'd say a few weeks. But you could just do a coupleif it was just a couple of months maybe. If the breakup is amiable, you have to be polite and not just jump to the next guy.

Keep in mind, that if you start dating someone right out of a relationship, you are a rebound. Most times (not all) it doesnt last long.

You could just say, "hey I know you and so-and-so just broke up, but I'd like to take you out some time when you're ready. Maybe we could just go out for lunch and hang out."

Then it's already out there and you've given her some control over the situation, and you get to be all sensitive and stuff.

I was thinking along the line of what SusieP said.

It depends on how bad the breakup was... if it was just like a fling, ask her immediately. If it was REALLY bad, ask in 80 years or so.

I don't think there is a timeline on it. If she likes you and is looking for companionship, she'll say yes. If she's not, she'll say no. Go for it.

I would go with SusieP's idea as well, just let her know you're there and are interested when she's ready.
