Silly Jack In The box Commercial

Okay so I'm making the best of it out here in the Great Northwest. down south we don't have Jack In The box so we don't see their commericals very often. But there are plenty out where I am at.

Has anyone seen the new Jack in The Box commercial? This one has Jack (the clown...very silly looking with what looks like to me to be an ice cream cone upside down for a hat, Well Jack wanted a pick me up and one of his office mates brought in a cheerleader. Seems like Jack would rather have one of his nifty milkshakes instead.

So the question of the day is would you rather have a Jack In The Box milkshake or a cheerleader for your personal daily pick me up?

I'd rather have a cheerleader myself but what do you think?

They use real ice cream for their shakes,
the cheerleader is probably not 100% real,
so I'll take the milkshake.

Milkshake. Just a brief Jack In the Box history lesson from a SoCal native in case you weren't aware, BD...

When Jack In The Box first opened here, mainly in the 60's, the signs were a giant, well, Jack-in-The-Box.
Coming up to the drive through speaker, still something new then, the sign said...the clown will speak to you...and the menu board had the clown head on top.

Early 80's, with remodeled restaurants and an extensive ad campaign, they "blew up" the clown.

Then maybe 10-15 years ago, they brought Jack "back" as a CEO-type with the clown's head, and their ads have followed that theme since. Some ads better than others.

If you want to see commercials that are really stupid, come down to SoCal and see the Carl's Jr. spots of recent years. They also own Hardee's now so maybe you've seen them, only with the Hardees brand.

The funniest commercial I saw was for Hardee's (Carl Jr's Sister chain).

It was of a guy rubbing and shaking a cow as the song "My Milkshake brings all the boys to the yard..." played :lmao:.

I've always liked the new wave of Jack commercials. I remember "speaking into the clown's mouth" when I was a kid growing up in the Bay Area. JITB was always a treat--I liked it better than McDonald's.

As an aside, I really like the T-Mobile commercial with the little cheer-leader girl.

Cute, but I would problably strangle her after 5 minutes on the phone.

We have Carl's Jr. up here in the NW, too, unfortunately...I'd kill for those ads to never be on TV! I won't ever eat there, just because their ads always gross me out. Ick!

Currently, Jack In The Box locations include the Carolinas, Tennessee, Louisiana, Texas, and Oklahoma, as well as Missouri (although I don't know if you'd consider Oklahoma and Missouri to be Southern states; some would).

Interesting. Well there are none in Georgia where I live.
