  • Do You Have A Favorite Walt Quote?

One of my favorite Walt quotes is:

"There is more treasure in books than in all the pirate's loot on Treasure Island and at the bottom of the Spanish Main and best of all, you can enjoy these riches every day of your life".

What is your fav Walt quote?

I can't remember! I read it while I was still in high school (maybe even jr.high) and it's just stuck with me ever since!

I just did a little bit of google-ing, and it's not the Bob Thomas bio (I have it, I found it at a thrift shop for $1, haven't read it yet). I remember using it in high school for a project and it's a smaller book, white cover (old looking, I'm sure it I got it at a thrift shop too) with a small photo of Walt in the middle and I think various characters surrounding it. Don't quote me on that though. I really need to find this book!!!

I think that is the book about Walt written by his daughter, Diane Disney Miller. By your description of the cover, that is what it sounds like to me.

This quote may have originated with Winston Churchill, but it's often attributed to Walt:

"If you're going through hell, keep going."

                            My fave:

"Fantasy, if it's truly convincing, cannot become dated for the simple reason that it represents a flight into a dimension that lies beyond the reach of time."
