  • Is it "Stuffing" or is it "Dressing"?

What do you call it in your part of the world?

I'm in California and my family has always called it STUFFING.

It all depends. If you put it in the bird, it is stuffing. If you do not put it in the bird it is dressing.

      Just MHO, YMMV

I hear that. I can barley manage to poilitly eat one fork full. The first time she served it I had one bite and asked in a surprised voice, "is this stove top?"...she confirmed it was...

so between the stove top stuffing. canned gravey, the questionable mashed potatos and the raw turkey...well, that is why I make my own thanksgiving dinner before I head over to the family dinner. I have tried to help her many times, but she hates cooking and refuses to try. She seems to think thanksgiving is a huge ordeal to make. I think it's one of the easiest meals to make.

I call it stuffing, and also disgusting. I can't make it in my house. My poor husband loves it, so he'll make it when I'm not home.

It's always been my least favorite food--the smell gags me horribly!!
