  • Certified mail troubles!

I made a huge mistake of sending out some time sensitive documents on Wednesday via certified mail and now I have no way of tracking it and the post office is of NO help. The fact that it's certified doesn't guarantee anything.

The documents need to arrive on Monday or else I need to replace them at a very high cost to me!

If you can all think positive thoughts that the letter arrives today or tomorrow, I'd really appreciate it.

    Thanks!

Certified mail has a tracking number. It's on the piece they hand back to you. Do you have that? Or have you already tried that number?

I already tried the tracking number on the receipt. According to the website, there is "no record" of this item.

I spoke to my mail carrier and he said they do not scan it into the system until after they delivered it.

Actually the way I've seen it work is when it hasn't been delivered yet the web site should read "Accepted" and the location where you mailed it from. Then when it's been delivered it will say "Delivered" and the time and place. Soooo, in this case it seems the post office did mess up. I'm very sorry this happened to you and with such an important piece of mail. I hope it arrives when it's supposed to!!!

The mail that day was not picked up from my office by my regular mail carrier. She was a fill-in. I had a bad feeling about it from the moment she took the mail.

          Waaaaaaah!!!

Wow, again I'm so sorry. I will keep the positive thoughts going that it will be delivered in plenty of time!!!

Can you check with the person you sent it to?

                I tried this as well.

The message stated the package wasnt recieved. After two weeks
I called to see if they got and they did. I think the USPS sucks...

                Hope your package made it

                  Re: Certified mail troubles!

I just checked the USPS website and it shows as being delivered this morning shortly before noon! Now I just have to wait for confirmation from the client.

                  Phew!

Thanks to everyone for their good thoughts.
