  • Tijuana?

Anyone ever been? My mom is looking to go for a day this week and I'm always in charge of finding info online about our adventures. So give me some advice!

Don't go, it's not a good example of Mexico!
Mom, remember, it's not what a person is like on the outside that counts,
it's what they are like in their HEART!

TJ isnt exactly a family vacation spot.
"I, not events, have the power to make me happy or unhappy today. I can choose which it shall be. Yesterday is dead, tomorrow hasn't arrived yet. I have just one day, today, and I'm going to be happy in it. "Groucho Marx

If you find some 3rd row seats that belong to a Yukon over there, let me know.
Three-time MVP Larry Bird, noting that Bryant has been the NBA's premier player for years, told Sports Illustrated's Dan Patrick before this week's announcement, "When someone told me the other day that Kobe hadn't won an MVP trophy, it sort of made me feel like I wanted to throw mine away."

pshh!! whatever! TJ is the place to be! cheap drinks, shady area, and stuff you can't buy in america.

it's totally worth going at least once.
I don't party like I used to, I party twice as hard as before....

We're not going to party. My grandma needs some prescriptions that doctors refuse to fill here because they're more herbal and not main stream medicine. We're going there to buy the medicine as we were advised by our herbal pharmacist.

Not that I would recommend buying any drugs across the border, and then bringing them back.....just sayin....

oh and be careful what/if you eat anything there. my husband and i ate the exact same thing when we went for a weekend, and he ended up with a horrid case of Montezuma's revenge whereas nothing happened to me. I'll always remember because it was the first time i got to drive his car (we'd only been dating for maybe 2 months)

                          Re: Tijuana?

                          A tip:
Wear slacks, not shorts (just an observation I made last time I was there)
Also, If you have a European accent, that's an advantage.

I had no problems when I went there, and I walked across the border. As a bonus I saw a border jumper and a van getting completely ripped open by the border patrol.

If you are driving, you don't need a passport yet (Canada/US), but as of Jan 23, you do need a passport when flying from Canada into the US.
