  • Richard Nixon Library 01/19

Took a trip to the Nixon Library today just for the heck of it, I'd never been before. I have been to the Reagan Library and should be going back next week so look for pics of that. The Nixon Library is very worth visiting, it's quiet and there's ALOT to see. It took me 3 full hours to see everything before I planted myself in front of one of the tvs and watched a few Nixon speeches. These pictures do not do it justice, there are just so many displays and a ton of things to see so if you're interested it is definetely worth it to check it out.

    Nice fountain outside.

Nixon and Elvis' outfits when they had their famous meeting.

Sorry for the glare, took it off the tv.

    Very nice displays were there.

Peice of the actual Berlin Wall.

    Model of Nixon's office.

Nixon's childhood home. It was tiny!!

    I want this TV badly.

I love this picture. It was taken at Nixon's funeral.

The helicopter Nixon flew in, most notably for when he left office.

The seat that he sat in.

The resting place for Nixon and his wife Pat.

The library and the relecting pool.

    It looked nice.

Mickey Mouse with Amy Carter at the White House.

Yet another place that I've never been - but I always see the sign as we're driving to Disneyland!
Will trade husband for Disneyland and DCA Pins!

What a wonderful way to experience a piece of history.

        That helicopter is too cool!

I love the Nixon Library. When I worked at DayRunner, they rented it out for the Christmas Party in 92-93. It was beautiful at night...

Thanks for posting the pics! I went there for a field trip in elementary school (more than a few years ago ) and have been wanting to go back since it's so close to home.
