  • Who knows their flowers?

Can you help me identify a flower?

The leaves are dark green and waxy shiny as well. The plants all have 1 to 2 blooms on them.
I suspect they are a type of lily but can not find anything about them. My office was giving them away but I want to find out what they are and if they are poisonous to house pets before I bring them home.
    Thanks!

        Re: Who knows their flowers?

after doing some digging I have learned it is a peace lily. It is also potentially toxic to cats and dogs- so I will keep it at work.

          Re: Who knows their flowers?

We use Peace Lilies around here a lot as office greenery. They like warm temps, moist but never soggy well drained soil that's allowed to go dry between watering and do very well in low light.

Sounds like it should be happy in your office and be no temptation to your critters.

If it's a Peace Lily it should look like this:

Or like this (they are also wrapped up completely before they open):

Dogs prefer other types of Lilies..
