  • De La Hoya / Mayweather on Cinco De Mayo

I don't know if there are any boxing fans out there but hubby and I are so excited about this fight and have been planning for it for a while. What better way to spend Cinco De Mayo but with a boxing party. Boxing has been on the back shelf for so long, and this is one match that may bring some new people into the sport.

Anyone else planning on coughing up the $55 for the PayPerView? (Well our friends are chipping into our purchase hopefully!)

Luckily, my neighbor is getting the fight. Nothing better than staggering home after watching a fight.

I think a lot of people have home parties on Cinco De Mayo, so if I had to guess the promoters figured people would be at home with lots of people and they may get more people to buy it. At least thats how it worked out for us. This will be the first PPV fight we have gotten in over 2 years.

My husband and I are sooo excited over this fight. We are even betting against each other who will win. We were planning a huge BBQ and party to watch the fight, but now it will be held at a friend house (thank goodness) since neither of us will be home all day - can't prepare.
