  • Happy Mother's Day!!!!

Already here for me, so I just wanted to wish all the MC mother's a very happy mother's day!!!

    What did I get??
At the school my kids attend, the mother's (well, some of them) have been meeting every tuesday to make crafts, that are then taken to school on the last two days before mother's day. The kids are given a time where the whole class goes and picks out things to buy for their mother. For $5 the kids can by quite a few items.
I got a coffee mug that has little love hearts painted on it and "world's best mum" written on it (I love mugs and buy them all the time LOL), some lavender bath salts (my reading time is in the bath), a hand painted candle holder like the ones you use for the samplers (I'm totally obsessed with Yankee Candles, but can't buy them in Australia, but stocked up on them while I was there), and a trashy Mills and Boone book ( I don't usually read that type of book, but I'm book crazy, so he knew what I'd like LOL LOL)
My kids sure know what I like!!!

All these were all bought at the stall at school.

My 6 year old also made me a "HUG" it's a long piece of paper. Printed on one side is
    "here's a really happy hug
wrap it around you like a rug
may smiles and kisses come your way
with lots of love on this happy day"

Turn it over and each end has his hand print awwwww sniff sniff

      Re: Happy Mother's Day!!!!

As I was reading Tassie's post, I got an email from a friend...great timing as it was totally worth sharing here!! Happy Mother's Day to all the great Moms here (and those dad's that are pulling double duty -- you deserve an extra helping of hugs too!!)

      POSITION :
Mother, Mom, Mama, Mommy, Momma, Ma

Long term, team players needed, for challenging permanent work in an, often chaotic environment. Candidates must possess excellent communication and organizational skills and be willing to work variable hours, which will include evenings and weekends and frequent 24 hour shifts on call. Some overnight travel required, including trips to primitive camping sites on rainy weekends and endless sports tournaments in far away cities. Travel expenses not reimbursed. Extensive courier duties also required.

The rest of your life. Must be willing to be hated, at least temporarily, until someone needs $5. Must be willing to bite tongue repeatedly. Also, must possess the physical stamina of a pack mule and be able to go from zero to 60 mph in three seconds flat in case, this time, the screams from the backyard are not someone just crying wolf. Must be willing to face stimulating technical challenges, such as small gadget repair, mysteriously sluggish toilets and stuck zippers. Must screen phone calls, maintain calendars and coordinate production of multiple homework projects . Must have ability to plan and organize social gatherings for clients of all ages and mental outlooks. Must be willing to be indispensable one minute, an embarrassment the next. Must handle assembly and product safety testing of a half million cheap, plastic toys, and battery operated devices. Must always hope for the best but be prepared for the worst. Must assume final, complete accountability for the quality of the end product. Responsibilities also include floor maintenance and janitorial work throughout the facility.

Virtually none. Your job is to remain in the same position for years, without complaining, constantly retraining and updating your skills, so that those in your charge can ultimately surpass you.

None required unfortunately. On-the-job training offered on a continually exhausting basis.

Get this! You pay them! Offering frequent raises and bonuses. A balloon payment is due when they turn 18 because of the assumption that college will help them become financially independent. When you die, you give them whatever is left. The oddest thing about this reverse-salary scheme is that you actually enjoy it and wish you could only do more.

      BENEFITS :
While no health or dental insurance, no pension, no tuition reimbursement, no paid holidays and no stock options are offered; this job supplies limitless opportunities for personal growth and free hugs for life if you play your cards right.
I love my awesome crazy wonderful friends!!

"Do you remember in kindergarten, how youd meet a kid,
then 10 seconds later youd be playing like you were best friends?"
