  • Teacup Hater!

Well, not really. Thing is, I have never had a less than highly nauseating experience on any centrifugal force ride, including the Teacups. In fact, it's so bad that I can't even watch the hideous saucers in motion without getting queazy. I'm serious. And my friends like to bug me about it when we pass by them, and they try to coax me to ride them. Not gonna happen. It's a bit of a shame actually, because the friend that I seem to most often go to the park with loves the Teacups and feels deprived that I won't ride with him. I really wish I could.

I know it wouldn't be Disneyland without them, and I'm glad they're there. I just wanted to share that kind of odd thing about me.

I'm with you MKB. Great to look at, no-no to ride for me. Feeling sick for a couple of hours is not worth the thrill.

I love the teacups theming and such, but just don't like to ride it.

Here's a suggestion for you. Instead of spinning your cup, try and focus your cup in one direction. Like focus on say, the Matterhorn, and try and keep your cup facing the mountain the entire ride. It's a fun way to make the ride less "spinny" and it keeps your mind busy doing something, and before you know it the ride is all over.

        I'd rather go the dentist!

My husband wouldn't ride the teacups if you paid him. So you are not alone. I, on the other hand, love them!

I get really dizzy and sick on the teacups, which is a shame because my best friend loves them, but they are pretty to look at.

I would rather go to the dentist than on the teacups.
Press today is so concerned with cool vs. not cool that they're starting to forget good vs. bad. I'm not sure I'll ever be "cool", but I will always tirelessly strive to be "great". - Josh Groban

Concentrate on the person directly across from you and you won't hurl.

              Or maybe not.

You don't have to spin the tea cup. I personally, sometimes just board the ride and sit back, and don't spin it at all. It's very soothing, when I do that. I don't get dizzy at all.

However, I also like to spin it. Then, I have to take a deep breath before getting off, so I don't fall down!
