Adam and I went on an Alaska cruise last week, with two days in Anchorage to start off. Here are a few pictures of the event. I hope you enjoy them. They are not in chronological order - sorry.

We flew Alaska Airlines from Miami to Seattle and connected to Anchorage.

This was some of the view from the plane as we flew North to Anchorage.

The Island Princess docked in Vancouver's Canada Place.

Vancouver's Lions Gate Bridge as we sailed into port.

A tiny island in Misty Fjords National Park.

The Empress of the North, which had run aground in Juneau is being repaired in a Ketchikan dry dock.

The Island Princess docked in Juneau, Alaska.

We went dog sledding in Juneau and met this adorable 12 day old puppy.

Skagway, Alaska reminded me of Main Street USA at Disneyland.

The Disney attorneys would NOT approve, and NO, I did not purchase one.

Landing our helicopter in Skagway, near the Norwegian Sun cruise ship.

A crevace on the Denver Glacier.

Holland America's Zuiderdam in Glacier Bay.

    More pictures to come soon.

Fantastic pix Mike. We saw so many animals on our trip to Alaska except a bear, lucky you.

Funny story, we went on the Norweigen Spirit and were sitting for dinner after the glacier bay. The captain came on the speakers and said there was a bear you could see on an island right next to us. My Dad and I jumped up and ran to the window. I ponted it out to him and we were in awe. Then the shenanigans ensued, the bear waved to us! We had been had. Looking below the bear there was a tender boat so some of the crew members took the boat out and wore a bear costume.

            Now that's high quality entertainment!

Thank You. No, we were not adventurous with our dining - at least that we know of.

<sigh> Beautiful pictures! I went on an Alaskan cruise a few years ago and your pictures are bringing back so many wonderful memories. Alaska is one of my favorite places to travel, the scenery is so breathtaking.
Hmmm, maybe I need to go dig up my pictures and loodk through them again....
