  • Anyone had a Grapple before????

That is right, a Grapple. It is an apple that tastes like a grape. It looks like an apple, it is crisp and juicy like an apple, but it tastes like a grape. It is quite yummy. They are a little on the expensive side, $5.99 for 4, but I would totally buy them again. If you ever see them at the store, you have to try them!

I've had them. IMO, they taste more like grape kool-aid than a grape. But, they were fun. BTW, the ingredients are: apples and natural and artificial grape flavor.

        No I haven't.

I thought you were going to mention some new flavor for Snapple.

I have and they tasted great.

I was just disappointed that they were artificially flavored. I thought maybe they found a way to grow them like that, but in reality they are just injected or whatever.

My son and I love grapples! My husband on the other hand says they taste like grape taffy. I actually have two in the fridge right now and it makes the fridge smell delicious!

            Have you tried a plumcot?

I have had a Grapple before! I think they smell like a grape more than they taste though. Just tastes like a regular old apple but a little sweeter.

We got 'em at Trader Joe's.

What an odd combination! Must get one if I see them, because I am not a huge apple fan.

Are plumcott the same a pluots? I like those.

I have had a pluott and they are yummy too.

I quite love them... though, I've noticed that the grape flavour varies from grapple to grapple.

I've heard people that hate apples love grapples, so you may like it...

BTW: I don't think they are injected at all. From the description on their website (where you can actually buy subscriptions to have them sent to you monthly), it sounds like they are soaked in the flavouring and the Fuji apples are used because it soaks up the flavouring better than other apples.

Yes, but still is not grown that way. I thought too that they were some sort of hybrid type apple with a grape taste. I am now disappointed. Not that I would buy them again, they weren't all that. They smelled nice, like grapes, but just tasted like apples. Big deal.

I was happy to see they weren't genetically altered. We usually pick them up at Harry and Davids but I've seen them other places. We think they are delicious!

Yes, a pluott and plumcot are the same thing.

You must have got a bad batch if they tasted like apples... from what I've experienced, some have a stronger taste than others and they all seem to have their taste strongest at the core rather than near the surface.
