  • Landing of the Shuttle Atlantis

At 12:49 pacific time, STS-117 will come to a close when the shuttle Atlantis lands at Edwards Air Force Base.

I am not sure that you would be able to see much but for whoever lives in that area may want to look in the direction of the base.

    *EDIT*
Atlantis has touched down at the said time.

Was that the Sonic BOOM that I just heard...here in Rancho Cucamonga CA. Thought it was an earthquake but news said it landed in Lancaster.

        Must have been!

I figured it out (eventually) after I got up and was on the run to see if my so was OK as I did not know what it was at first. I forgot about the shuttle landing today.

Then after thinking I remembered the double boom of the shuttle.

We felt and heard it. One of the office blowhards came around and "apologized" for dropping his johnson on the floor. Eyes rolled.
