alright now this has gotten just silly... in the past two weeks we have lost more then 4 of our beloved micechatters this is just scary... guys too much other stuff is happening in our lives to worry about people leaving... so why are we leaving... this is a stressful time for all of us (what with the 50th coming closer and closer, paul winchell passing away, the downfall of 2-d animation, and the constant reminder that things are just changing for all of us) so please guys, lets keep this site together so we can talk to eachother about this... i do not want to go back to talking to my dogs (even if they do answer)

Even with a loss of 4, there are still a couple thousand of us to talk to.

but still its just strange that for some reason people are just randomly deciding to leave... its almost like the great plauge but smaller and on the internet

it is because sometimes people need to rearrange their priorities. The people who have left are doing so because they want to focus on their lives and be present for the things that happen on a day to day basis. Their reasons for leaving are understandable, but it is not a plague, its just a fact of life. Many of us, I am sure, have decided to scale back their participation in micechat from time to time, they just haven't announced it.

You have to take everything in moderation. And, as dramaqueen said, sometimes people need to rearrange their priorities. As much as I love the MiceChat boards, a week or two can go by where I hardly get a chance to visit (thank goodness for the "New Posts" feature!). Life happens and other things need more attention. So, just relax. Some of those who have left may even come back from time to time.

exactly... everything in moderation (they ought to have a timer on this site  ) but that doesnt mean that people cant pop in from time to time instead of completely saying goodbye and leaveing

C.O had such wit about him that really appealed to me. Sad to see him go.

We've had 5 people recently sell their houses on the block I live on. Does that mean my neighborhood is going downhill? I think not! People come and go. Old neighbors move out and new ones move in. Old Micechatters move on and new ones move in. Just a normal cycle of events. Now, if several hundred of us bailed out all at once and for no apparent reason, that might be cause for alarm!

I agree with Pacha on this. I've said it before, as much as we feel like a family, in actuality we are a community. In communities, there is a constant influx/outflow of people. Some people come and stay forever, others just for a while. Definitely just the normal cycle of things...The circle of life!

Ok I can't take it anymore...

It's my fault! MINE! I am showing up at these people's homes in the middle of the night with a knife, and telling them that if they don't leave the boards I'll kill everyone they know and love...one a day, leaving them for last so they have to witness them all die...it seems to be working so far.
                      What an idiot....

Yeah, I do that Twitter thing.

It's true. He does this. It didn't work on me. I just flicked a frozen gummi-bear in one of his nine eyes and he ran away screaming like a girl.
I give myself very good advice, but I very seldom follow it.
That explains the trouble that I'm always in...

I don't know, if he showed up looking like Will Ferrell hitting a cowbell, that would freak me out.
