  • Bend it like Beckham - David scores his first goal for the Galaxy

In tonight's North American SuperLiga Semi-Final at the Home Depot Center in Carson, David Beckham scored off a free kick just outside of the Penalty Box. A very typical "Bend It like Beckham" goal. Just beautiful.

Happened around the 25th minute, currently 1-0 Galaxy over DC United in the 34th minute.

Winner will play CF Pachuca from Mexico in the finals in two weeks (Wednesday, August 29th). Also the winner of this game will host the final.

Good for him. I hope this shuts up all the criticism he's been getting for not playing because he's injured. He's such a great player.

I also heard he took a shower yesterday and ate a hot dog for lunch

Sorry, I'm just a little tired of Beckham and Posh being every frickin' where, and I'm tired of the newsmedia focusing so much attention on these 2.

So he made a goal. Good for him, he's doing the job he's getting paid to do.

Beckham scores. Good for Darkbeer and all the soccer fans here. I agree with O-Nut's sentiment, but I don't want to rain on anyone's parade either.

And I am sure that Mr. Beckham may well have about 250 million reasons for not caring about the criticism.

Yeah, I agree. Beckham is overrated because he has good looks. Maybe he need to take that fat paycheck he got and go take his anorexic wife out to Sizzler or something.

Did I mention that he's overrated? You have a slight sprain in your foot? Who cares, be a man and play with it, it's what you get paid for.

David Beckham played just over 60 minutes before getting substituted for.

Landon Donavan scored in the 47th minute with an assist by David Beckham.

2-0 Galaxy in the 75th minute.

And FYI, I am sick and tired of all the High School Musical hype...

So much so, I don't bother even reading about it, let alone post in the HSM threads....

Maybe with all that money Posh can buy a smile to put over that sour puss of hers. Most bitter looking hot chick ever.
