  • My Saturday Night Date with Eddie

    For dmom.

There must be some advantages to being alone, at home, in Stockton on a Saturday night.

    Thinking, thinking...

I had not eaten since Wednesday. I kid you not, and it's a long story, so we'll skip it. But I was getting kind of light-headed and decided it must be time to consume something more than the bottled water I'd been drinking for 3 days.

I decided it must be time to call Eddie's.

    Me on the phone:

^I was alone, don't get picky.

When the ESL pizza guy showed up, I asked him if I could take his picture, to share with my friends; one in particular who has moved away and is in a sad state of Eddie's Withdrawal. He actually said I would have to call Eddie's and ask his boss if it was OK!

"Um, hi. Can I take the driver's picture?"

Well, duh. Of course they said YES:

    ^He was thrilled. Poor thing.

    The goods:

A Personal Pizza (did I mention I am alone?)
    Ranch dressing in a bag
    An order of Potato Wedges

    The beautiful pizza:

    The delicious p-wedgies:

How sad. The pizza guy is my best friend tonight. And so far, the only advantage I can come up with to being alone on a Saturday night, is unlimited double-dipping in my Ranch dressing.

      Aww...poor DB. :squeeze:

As someone who has spent MANY Saturday nights alone, I can sympathize! Just know we're here to keep you company! Mice Chat has been a reliable friend for a long time.

What I wouldn't give for a night like that...well, ok, I'd rather do other things...but no kids in the house? My own choices for pizza toppings? (not that I am that thrilled with your choices...ewww) If only the delivery man was hot and studly...let me help you with your story telling...

So, I opened the door and to my surprise, the pizza wasn't the best part of the delivery (neither was the ranch)

        What pizza?

So, I of course offered him a drink.

        And he got comfortable...

He asked what that weird smell was...and I was so ... I hadn't taken care of the litterbox yet! I hate that thing!

While I took out the trash, he got even MORE comfortable...

So, sorry I can't stay here on MC and play tonight! I have an unexpected guest and I can't ignore him -- that would be rude. And I don't do rude.

(see how i helped make you night sound like it was a great fun time and not the drag it really was? ) I  ya!

              OMG that looks DELICIOUS!!!
If you're gonna be alone, the least you can do is double dip.
              mmmmm.
              Good morning, son
              In twenty years from now
Maybe we'll both sit down and have a few beers
And I can tell you 'bout today
And how I picked you up and everything changed
              It was pain
              Sunny days and rain
I knew you'd feel the same things...

I would have been happy to share your 'taters! I love deep fried starch and there's nothing quite like a carb loaded meal to take away the lonelies. The food looks yummy and it looks like TM sent along some other yummy things, even if they are only yummy to look at. Does it make you a Colin fan when you even like "What a Girl Wants"?
