My Ten Thousandth Post - RB Reaches Five Digits!

Okay, I know that threads for congratulating someone for posting milestones really isn't done much anymore.

And it really might not be the best etiquette for one to toot his own horn for such a thing.

And this will likely be the last time I'll ever do it.

When I got my first diamond, and when I got my last one, that was really something.

And so is this.

Post number 10,000.

It's taken me almost 2 1/2 years.

But I made it.

I'd like to say I'm proud of all of my posts. About 15 per cent of them, I'm not so proud of. Nor am I proud of the grammar in the last sentence!)

Anyway, thanks to Fishbulb, Dusty, Monorail Man and all those who make and keep this site possible...and thanks to all my MC friends for putting up with me all this time.

Barry Barry Barry... what can I say that we haven't said before, at least 10,000 times. Each and every one of those 10,000+ posts, a gem of journalistic fortatude... well, except for maybe post number 6,385.... and 7103... well.... I really wondered about that one but figured maybe Jupiter wasn't fully aligned with Mars or something....

Congratulations Barry. I thought of you this weekend when a CM told me on Saturday that Tommy Lasorda would be leading the 5:15 cavalcade down main street and then I missed Sunday at the meet. But with all those posts I guess you have to stay home sometime.

About Tommy...first I saw on the Saturday night news with the pictures of the special cake for him. The anchor said that he'd leading the "Main Street Parade." Later Grumpy 4 told me that she had met Tommy in the Hearthstone area of the GCH.
