Finally our dollar is at parity with the US's. Are any other Canadians taking advantage of this? If so, please share your money saving or travel saving tips!

The Canadian dollar is actually higher than the U.S. dollar right now, and I suspect it will continue to grow.

I am taking full advantage of it this weekend on crossing the border to do some shopping. I may even convert some money over for when we travel to the US again in the future.

The US economy is has been "sucky" for some time now. It comes of running $800 Billion trade deficits year after year.

Very true... not to mention the massive Federal deficits run up year after year... oh and dumping a trillion dollars into Iraq sure hasn't helped. At least the favorable exchange rate has made our Canadian friends happier!
