So while reading the "what cheers you up?" thread it seems that we all love our pets. Here's my question:
Why is your critter the best?

Pearl, our seeing eye dog puppy in training, is probably the best dog because I've never had a sweeter dog than her.

How about everyone else?

I have the best pets because:

I have a cat 'Seven' that has only one eye. I am blind in one eye also so we are a team. I got her at the Humane Society.

I have another cat 'Mama' that was my grandparents cat and when they passed away I took their cats. So I still have a living memory of my grandparents.

My dog 'Gracie' was another Humane Society find and she is a puggle. She loves me unconditionally. If I am gone 5 minutes or 5 days to her it is all the same, she just wants me back to cuddle with.

barkley is the best dog ever, because he is so smart, easy ti train and knows all his commands by voice and hand signal. 97% of the time he only gets a hand signal and he responds.

Cloey is our new puppy and she is smart as well and easy to train (maybe I'm just good at training dogs). She is 3 months old and knows sit by voice and hand signal and knows lay down by voice. We are working on that one. She is very sweet and lovable. Always happy.

I don't know if my cats are the best cats ever. They both have issues. Holly was abused as a kitten. When we got her she knew how to scratch really well. She was lethal, drew blood and ripped through more than one shirt. She is now 12 and she is calmer and very sweet.

Pepper is very "special" he got kicked out of the house for 2 years because he likes to spray EVERYTHING!!! He is about 13 or 14 now. He has diabetes. he was diagnosed about a year ago. He is allowed in the house now and he seems to not spray anymore or I haven't found it yet . We have to give him a shot of insulin twice a day and his favorite pastime is tormenting the dogs. He is part Persian so he needs a lot of care or his coat turns into one solid knot. despite all this we still love him....oh, yeah, he also likes to yowl in the middle of the night for no reason, which makes the dogs bark and it takes about 30 minutes to get everyone quited down again....yeah, we do love him though.....

anyway, because the cats are older they basically sleep all the time. The dogs bring as a lot of happiness.

My fur babies are the best because...

Kitty1: Is my constant companion. If he happens to not be around, all I have to do is call his name and he comes running from where ever he is. Sleeps with me every night. He is the sweetest thing and wouldn't hurt, well, I was going to say a fly, but he does like catching those!

Kitty2: My big fat softy. The quintessential lap cat. If you need a cuddle, he's your guy. Sleeps on top of me but not in the summer.

Kitty3: The youngest and still the playful gal. Want some fun? She will bring a toy and drop it at your feet (or your pillow!) and she's ready to go. Only Kitty in the house who gives head bumps. She is also best friend to Dog.

Dog: Big "scary" German Shepherd who doesn't realize that she should be scary. She is the most gentle dog ever and just wants to please everyone. Lives for dog walks and plate licking. Best friend to Kitty3.

My puppies are the best because:

They always know how to put a smile on my face
They are never judgemental
They love everyone they meet unconditionally
They are cute!
...They are just my heart. I grew up with dogs so it's only natural that I would find them as great companions...

I have the best pet because:

missy is the sweetest chiuhuahua in the world. when I got her, she was rail thin, and the owners had moved out and left her. They had abused her by hitting her, kicking her, and throwing her.She even has a burn mark on her back from a cigarette. shes one of those super tiny pups and is sooooo sweet. she never barks, never messes, never runs about. she happy sitting with me all day. Wherever I am, she beside me, even in the bathroom!!

When we came to the US, we found a new home for her, and these people are great!We now share her, and she's with us at the moment. They are so great to let us still be in her life, and we can have her with us any time. they have welcomed us at their home any time we want to see her

Okay Tilly is officially adorable...

Charlie, our cairin terrier/chihuaua mix, is the most expressive dog ever.

Peanut, our llaso-mix, is a snuggle dog.

Pearl right now is 32+ lbs and is the perfect weight when I need to be weighed down.

Latte is the best cat because he's been through so much with me over the last 10 yrs and no matter what i go through he's there to lay with me and purr and love me. He sleeps on my side of the bed everynight, and in the morning he's in my face to say "Good Morning". He is so laid back and go with the flow. A cuddly kitty. I love him.

Cordelia is the best cause she's so sweet (even if she is shy around everyone) and of all 5 cats she's the only one who lets us scratch her belly.

Pele follows me everywhere and talks to me. She's funny because she drinks water out of the bathroom sink and lately has taken to pulling the plug thingy out before she drinks. Total OCD. She's also beautiful and just a sweetie.

Rooney is the best cause he ALWAYS greets me at the door when I come home. Plus he's FAT FAT FAT and I love fat cats.

Midnight isn't the best cause she still doesn't like me...but we're working on it.

Well, my cat is the best cat because he's a MiceChat kitten! We adopted him from the Wolfpack in May. He is so funny because he acts like a dog. He follows us everywhere- to the mailbox, to take the trash out, and part of the way to school in the morning! He likes to sneak up and race us up the sidewalk. I always find him sitting on my son's bed in the morning, waiting for someone to wake up and feed him.



Also, he helps me study.

My critters keep me entertained and keep me company when The Boy is at his dad's.

Chicken is now letting me pet her...wierd bird. PoohDog actively protects his pet Chicken.

My rats ae very loving and intuitive to my moods. HollyWogs is a very sweet girl, loves for me to pet her until she falls alseep. Even our 2 new girls are fun to have out.

My dog Milo is always faithful too meet me at the door, loves walks. I have never had a dog that can simply enjoy hanging out. Best of all he was a pound dog.

Squeaks my cat above is the most mello most flexible cat I have ever had.
Very loving and fun to play with.
