  • For the LOVE of your iPod

I was at the gym yesterday...doin' my workout and listening to tunes on my iPod Shuffle (man I love that thing!)

As I was taking a quick breather in between sets, I was all of a sudden quite aware of how many songs I had on my iPod that had to do with LOVE - they either had the word in the Title or mentioned the word LOVE repeatedly. I guess I was just awestruck about how many of my favorite tunes all had to do with basically the same thing - LOVE.

    Here's an example:

    Song Titles:
    "Love of Another Kind"
    "Your Love Broke Through"
    "Silent Love"
    "Way Back into Love"
    "Without Love"

    etc.

    Lyrics:
    "...Love will find a way...."
"...I could sing of Your love forever..."
"...yeah yeah, she loves the Monkey's Uncle...yeah yeah"

Anyway, what iPod tunes do you listen to that sing about the wonderful thing called LOVE?!

I don't think I have any. Love songs and working out don't go together for me.

I have been listening to nickleback a lot and green day, some bon jovi, but not the slow songs

Pretty much every country song on my ipod has to do with love. Love of beer, love of Whiskey, loss of love, etc....

Well, I have over 4000 songs on my iPod and I know I have over a hundred songs with just the word "Love" in the title. I was barely into passing the songs that started with I's when I stopped at 90 something.

I just wiped the wifes Ipod and refilled it with christmas songs. 115 songs, 6.5 hour. Don't know if there is any love there.

I think Christmas is because of LOVE - so I think it qualifies! Right on......I was thinking about doing the same thing soon - I LOVE CHRISTMAS music.....

Ya wanna know something? I don't really like that song - and I am a major MAJOR B-52's fan! The only time I really enjoy hearing that song is when it's done live - and I've seen the B's play it live and it's WAY better.

Good call though - I mean, I DID dance to it at my wedding reception......but wished for ROCK LOBSTER instead....

Rock Lobster wouldn't have been as fun to dance to as Love Shack! And, afterall, it WAS your reception!!! Love Shack was the right choice

Now I feel old. Love Shack was not even out when I got married but I did dance to Rock Lobster. I have been to a B-52's concert at least once or more for the past three decades (88, 95, 99, 01, 03, 06) I cannot wait to make it four decades with them.

I wish they would have played ROCK LOBSTER in addition to Love Shack.
But playing Love Shack at a wedding reception seems pretty typical these days.
