I was just reading a article from AAA, where they said that an estimated 32 million people are going to be traveling for the holidays. How many of you are going to be traveling for it? How far will you be going? Has the rising gas prices has any influence on your travel plans?

Re: So who all is traveling this holiday season?
Flying to Boston for the Christmas holidays to be with relatives there and in Rhode Island. Based on much past experience...about 50/50 chance of major weather related travel headaches. But that also means a 50/50 chance of a traditional "White Christmas."

No air travel here, either. Just driving to my mom's on Thanksgiving and Christmas, and maybe to my grandma's one of those days.Looking for the truth about giraffes? http://www.menacinggiraffes.blogspot.com/

Re: So who all is traveling this holiday season?
I don't like spending the "actual day" of any holiday anywhere else but home. I am traveling by plane to Disney World for 6 days in early December. My husband and I were entertaining the idea of spending New Years Eve in Wisconsin Dells, but our favorite resort was already booked. That's only a 3 hour drive, door to door.
I once checked airfare closer to holidays like Thanksgiving, and Christmas and it was almost twice what I am paying for my early December trip.

Re: So who all is traveling this holiday season?
for the first time in a very long time, i won't be traveling at all.Good morning, son
In twenty years from now
Maybe we'll both sit down and have a few beers
And I can tell you 'bout today
And how I picked you up and everything changed
It was pain
Sunny days and rain
I knew you'd feel the same things...
