Please help me!

I'm looking for information and maybe pictures of two places in the LA area.

The first one is the aerospace museum, I think. All I remember about the place was the little rocket or plane sticking out in the front of the building. All I remember is going there a couple of times for field trips and it was a blast.

The second one is a building which I think might be in the Garden Grove/Santa Ana area. It's a tall high rise building with a HUGE lit up cross on it. I don't know what it's used for now but I remember seeing it all of the time when we'd be driving home to Ontario from the Irvine area.

If anyone can help me that would be great. I'm going through my monthly homesickness stage, so this would be a huge gift to me from any helpful people out there.

Wow, thanks a ton! I'm not sure about the CC though, I don't remember the building I'm thinking of being next to it. I remember it being right off of the freeway, although I'm not sure which freeway it was.

Wasn't there a standoff a few years ago at the CC and they guy shot himself? I only went there once with my aunt, my best friends and his mom, for a showing of Jesus Christ Superstar, great show.

Yeah, that's not the building I'm thinking of. The one I'm thinking of is a very tall high rise, maybe 40 stories? The cross is on top of it and can be seen from the freeway for a good 5 miles or so.

You may be thinking of the Garden Grove Community Church before they built the Crystal Cathedral. I believe it was the first "drive in" church where you could drive up in your car, listen through a little speaker and see the pastor from a mega opening in the side of the church, and then speed on your way home without having to interact with anyone. It's been awhile now, but I'm pretty sure they had a giant cross and the old structure was pretty tall.

I dunno, it says the CC was created in 1980 but I know it was the mid 80's when I recall seeing the building I'm talking about. I'll have to ask my parents the next time I talk to them. maybe my mother will remember what it was. That Science building looks a lot different than it used to also.
