Post pics of your Gingerbread Men, Houses, and other cookies. Come on. Show off a little. Here are some of my Gingerbread cookies for this year. I want to see the work of the cookie artisans on this site.

      Thanks. They are.

They are made from a recipe I got from my neighbor. Its a family recipe that she does not give out. I had to work on getting it from her for years. Its just about the only cookie recipe I would not give to someone.

My goal is to finish my gingerbread house today. I don't like how it turned out and for some reason my homemade icing has been turning yellow.

It's a project for this next weekend. My niece is coming to visit, so we'll be making a house then.

It's a far away shot, but the only one I have.
My daughter(9) made this for her Grandma.

Everything looks wonderful! I don't have the patience for baking, I never want to wait for the decorations to be put on. I will be buying some cookies at DL this week, though. Yummy!

                        Good morning, son
                        In twenty years from now
Maybe we'll both sit down and have a few beers
And I can tell you 'bout today
And how I picked you up and everything changed
                        It was pain
                        Sunny days and rain
I knew you'd feel the same things...

This is why they make kits now!

I bought my kit today but I won't be creating it until my mom gets here the week of Christmas.

Melonballer, what a great idea for a thread! I love seeing all the creative ways MiceChatters are decorating their houses.

Disclaimer: I had absolutely no involvement with creating the gingerbread house in the following pictures. But it was too cool not to take a picture and post here. This is the walk-thru gingerbread house in the lobby of the Millennium Biltmore Hotel in downtown L.A. It's not quite as exquisite as the gingerbread house at the Grand Floridian in WDW, but in terms of scale, it's impressive.

Looks like it's time for a NW MCers meet! We sure love your cookies!!!! These are darling.

I have done NO baking this year so far. Just returned from DL last Saturday late night, so, I've been trying to catch up with reality since then.
