  • Calling any/all Autopia CMs! How fast do the cars go?

We're trying to figure this out over in this thread (http://micechat.com/forums/disneylan...o-they-go.html), so we can estimate the approximate speed of Radiator Springs Racers (there was a mention in one of the Blue Sky Cellar videos that RSR will go about 11x faster than Autopia).

    Thanks for the help! )

Well, approximately 7 mph (the speed limit given on the signs during the ride is 6.5 mph).

Those observing the posted speed travel 6.5 mph or under. Those observing the ramming potentential of the cars in front of them travel at the 7 mph maximum speed at all times.

Well, it said that the Autopia cars go 6.5 to mirror the real life speed limit of 65 mph.

Well, yes, that's what that sign says, but is that actually the speed they travel?

7 mph seems about correct for Autopia. I predict RSR will max out around 65 mph during the straights, while most likely slower during the slaloms and curves.

Nevermind. Shouldn't have posted confidential cast member information.

Without the governor, it can go about 50mph. But on average, it can go to up to about 8, maybe 10/12 if you're going downhill without touching the track. Even less if you're stuck behind the kid who can't keep the pedal down, or the adult that is too afraid to go anything faster than walking speed.
