  • Online Application: Worth It?

So I'm moving to LA in a week, and I'm going to need a job, and since I've wanted to work at DL since I was little, why not apply now? I know the wait list situation is out-of-control long right now, but I can wait (and hopefully get another job in the meantime) but I wanted to know the best way to have any chance of getting hired.

I know they have online applications, but to be honest I have never had any luck with those. Companies usually never contact me back and I'm left wondering if they even got it. So has anybody on here actually been hired via an online application or do you think I would have better luck just going to Anaheim and filling an application out there? Thanks for any help or advice

They would make you fill out the same online application at the Casting Services Offices in Anaheim - Walt Disney Parks and Resorts has had a computer-based application process for quite some time now.

I do believe (it's been a while since I've had to do one) that you fill out the application and then schedule your appointment for an interview online as well. That way, you can save time when you get down there since the application has already been filed.

I know this won't help, but what part of LA are you moving to?

After living in the LA area for some time you will learn that LA and OC are two very different places...

        Re: Online Application: Worth It?

It is definitely worth it. Online is exactly how I did it and everything moved pretty darn fast for me. The main reason is that once you're done filling out the online application you will be able to schedule your own interview appointment. If it looks like there aren't many dates available just keep looking, you will find something. I applied online on Jan 25th, schedule my interview for Feb. 12th and the rest is history. Others were surprised that everything moved so fast for me, they didn't exactly have the same experience. So I highly recommend applying, and scheduling your interview, online. It's convenient and moves things along at a much faster pace. Just remember to mention, when you show up for the interview, that you've already filled out the application online. I almost ended up waiting a few more minutes than I had to because they thought I was there for a walk-in application. Good luck.

I too applied online. They contacted a month later asking me to schedule an interview. I had Traditions a week after that.

Personally, online worked for my husband. He put in his application one morning and he got a call 10 minutes later from the Disney recruiter and an interview all set up. Within 3 weeks, he was hired and had the position that he wanted...

            Good luck!

Downtown, but I'm def not glued in there, so if I were to get a job at DLR, moving would be a possibility.
